  • The shoulder is one of the most common sites of injuries. We have extensive experience treating shoulder injuries such as:

  • Rehabilitation following surgery including shoulder reconstructions, cuff repairs, and SLAP stabilisations

  • Bursitis

  • Rotator cuff and biceps tendinopathy

  • Rotator cuff tears

  • SLAP and labral lesions

  • Subacromial impingement syndrome

Exercise Physiology Treatment Program

 

Exercise rehabilitation is the cornerstone of shoulder rehabilitation. The primary goal of conservative management for shoulder conditions is to reduce pain and improve function. Exercises for shoulder rehabilitation are widely used in the treatment and management of a variety of shoulder disorders. Based on your diagnosis and physical assessment an individualised program will be developed to treat your condition. Although each shoulder injury is unique, shoulder rehabilitation typically consist of four stages:


Regaining full range of motion and locating pain-relieving exercises:

  1. Exercises for specific local strengthening

  2. Correcting whole-body biomechanical factors that are causing your pain

  3. Return to activity, you will be guided through exercises that mimic everyday activities or movements required for your activities of daily living
